Re: Additional Banner Finance Training Opportunities for THURSDAY, JULY 30

Please note that there will be a third Self-Service Banner Finance Open Forum/Solutions Center held this Thursday, July 30th, at 10AM in GITC 2305.  This session allows an opportunity for faculty and staff to raise specific questions on topics including system access, budget or encumbrance queries, purchase requisitions and approvals, correcting a purchase requisition using INB, and vendor payments.  Self-Service Banner Finance experts will be on- hand to assist in resolving these questions.  Pre-registration is not required.  Just stop by with your questions and get them answered!

Immediately following the ‘Open Forum/Solutions Center’, the Purchasing Department will present a one-hour Purchasing Refresher Course that will cover the entire purchasing cycle.  Please note that the pre-requisite for this refresher course is having previously completed Self-Service Banner Finance training.  The Purchasing Refresher Course is recommended for those individuals who have primary purchasing responsibilities for their department and may have encountered some initial problems with requisition entry using Self-Service Banner.  If demand for this course is large, future refresher courses will be scheduled.

Individuals that require Self-Service Banner Finance Training that have not previously attended one of these sessions, can attend the training session scheduled for Wednesday, July 29th, from 1 to 4 PM in GITC 2305.  Limited space is still available. 

Pre-registration is required to attend either the Self-Service Banner Finance training on July 29, or the Purchasing Refresher course on July 30.  This can be done by contacting the Budget Office at extension 3125.

  • Walk-in, 'Open Forum/Solutions Center' - Bring questions, get answers, no pre-registration required:
    •  Wednesday, August 5 (2-3 PM)
    •  Tuesday, August 11 (2-3 PM)
    •  Monday, Augiust 17 (2-3 PM)

  •     Self-Service Banner Finance Training (Limited to 24 attendees; sessions with fewer than 10 pre-registered attendees will be cancelled):
    • Wednesday, August 12  (9 AM - 12 noon)
    • Tuesday, August 18  (9 AM - 12 noon)
    • Monday, August 24 (9 AM - 12 noon)
